The Health MOT includes an array of tests to allow you to receive a baseline for, such as:
1) Height
2) Weight
3) BMI
4) Blood Pressure
5) Fat Percentage (Anthropometry)
Anthropometry includes measurements of body weight (estimated dry weight for dialysis patients), height, triceps skinfold, abdominal circumference, calf circumference, midarm muscle circumference, elbow breadth, and subscapular skinfold.
These values provide information about the distribution of body fat and skeletal muscle mass, and over time, identify nutritional deficiencies or excesses in calorie and protein reserves compared with standardized percentiles.
The typical body measurements used in anthropometrics include height, weight, body mass index (or BMI), waist-to-hip ratio and body fat percentage (achieving up to 98% accuracy). By studying the differences in these measurements among humans, researchers can assess risk factors for a host of diseases. can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
Skinfold measurement can use from 3 to 9 different standard anatomical sites around the body. The right side is usually only measured (for consistency). The tester pinches the skin at the appropriate site to raise a double layer of skin and the underlying adipose tissue, but not the muscle. The calipers are then applied 1 cm below and at right angles to the pinch, and a reading in millimeters (mm) taken two seconds later. The mean of two measurements are taken. If the two measurements differ greatly, a third should then be done, then the median value taken.
